God is Moving in Buenos Aires!

Today, Jason and Kelli Frealy sent this encouraging update.

You have been praying for S and I, a couple we met through the ESL program, for a few months now.  Great news!  Both have confessed faith in Christ and were baptized on Sunday.  Praise the Lord!

That night, after Jason shared about Biblical baptism, S and I each shared briefly about how they had come to faith and to their decision to be baptized.  It was wonderful to hear them tell about realizing their need to repent from their sins and turn to God!  Afterward, we went into the backyard where JL baptized each of them.  S’s mother, aunt, cousin, and son were all able to be present for the baptisms.  Please continue to pray for S and I as they grow in grace and obedience, and pray that their new faith will spread to their friends and family as well.

A surprise on Sunday was learning that JL’s wife M has decided to obey Jesus and be baptized as well!  She will wait for her birthday (and warmer weather) on February 20.  We have watched M’s growth over the past two years—from subtle hostility to the message to joyful acceptance—and we can’t wait for February!

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better…A second surprise was hearing from A that he and D are considering baptism as well!  Their participation in our Monday (formerly Friday) group meetings has been steady and active the past few months, and recently their friend C has joined them in attending the Bible studies.  We look forward to continuing this process.  Hopefully soon we’ll have more good news to share.

You have been praying with us for these people for months and years, and God is working in their lives.  Thank you for your faithfulness to pray!
