Greetings from Buenos Aires,
We completed our first full day and are ready for a good sleep. The first part of the day was a matter of arriving in BA, trekking to the hotel, and resting a bit. Then we met with Manuel Sosa for a brief orientation before attending a Bible study at Barrio Norte. Every Friday night a group of 40 or 50 brazilian students gather for worship. These are all university students in their early 20s. The mission team had an opportunity to say a few words to the students, and Derek shared the Bible lesson with them. We fellowshipped with them afterwards and then took Manuel and Berta to dinner.
On Saturday we will prayer walk the area around Casa de Amistad and begin handing out flyers for our evening outreach events. Our translators will join us late in the evening. In the meantime, we will continue to practice our broken spanish. How do you say, “Apparently neither my phone nor my underwear made it into my suitcase”
